My daily bible reading and devotional:

I read through the bible every year with The Daily Walk Bible, a compilation of daily devotionals from Walk Thru The Bible Ministry's 1970's "Daily Walk" magazine, combined with the New International Version text.  It gives historical context to each day's reading, interesting insights about the characters, place, and happenings, and Your Daily Walk -- how the reading applies to one's life in our current age.

Since I'm unfamiliar with the current teaching of Walk Thru the Bible Ministry I can't recommend newer editions, but the original Daily Walk Bible -- first published in 1995 -- is wonderful.

ISBN numbers are important; they ensure purchase of the right edition.  You can always find them at the beginning of any published book, on the copyright page.
